ARO is looking for a part-time sales person, with 1-2 year’s retail experience for it’s East Austin storefront and website. Our ideal candidate has experience in the fashion/retail industry, is creative, a problem solver, passionate for independent fashion designers and is looking to grow with our company. Although we understand this is a part-time position we prefer that the candidate has little to no other work obligations. Availability is a must, holidays are coming and we need people who can work weekends and specials events (ACL Festival + SXSW Festival).
This is an hourly part-time position (2-3 days a week), with opportunity for growth, incentives, and possibly future full-time hours.
All submissions must include a cover letter (I want to know why you want to work for ARO), resume and a list of your favorite designers/retailers.
Job responsibilities but not limited to:
— Retail sales (candidate must feel comfortable selling and establishing relationships with customers)
— Merchandising (candidate will assist in merchandising store and making sure inventory is out/accounted for)
— Assist in planning web and store promotions, events and seasonal sales
— Processes all e-commerce orders
— At least 1-2 year’s retail experience
— Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
— Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design. Not required but a plus.
— Feel’s comfortable meeting new people, selling and creating sales relationships
— Know’s how to sell anything i.e. jewelry, clothes, apothecary etc.
— Organized and a self learner
